Lest we forget.
On this day in 1916 – 10,000 men were wounded and killed in World War 1, it was a War fought by men and women, watched over by the British empire. They were workers sent to the slaughter on the front line. The fields of Poppies became a representation of the fields of blood because on those very fields, where our ancestors fell, fields of Poppies grew.
